Some of them are career and costume trunk skins, extracted to be playable. Some of them were distributed in Maxis skin packs or in later expansion packs.
My laptop has just about stopped being able to run The Sims 3 and Skyrim (the only games I own) so to fill my time in weekends I've been thinking of reinstalling my Sims 1 Complete Collection until I get a new, more suitable pc for gaming. So I was wondering if there were ever any mods and Custom Content (skins, hair, outfits, gameplay tweaks etc) made for it as, seeing it was made so long ago, it doesn't exactly have as much customization as Sims 3. I have looked on TSR's Sims 1 downloads but all the images appear to be broken/missing:S Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks:) Edit: Thanks to whoever moved this thread, I tried to find a Sims 1 sub forum but oddly I didn't the first time:S:faceslap. I've noticed the same thing about TSR and sometimes for some of the Sims 2. There are LOTS of places with content still. Here are a few of my favorite sites: - Awesome objects as well as clothes, heads, etc. Ikabod - Misc.
Dincer Hepguler - THE BEST furniture maker! - Odd, fun gothy stuff -This guy extracted Maxis meshes, expanded them to all body types and did some great recolors. beautiful antiques - group forums with lots of resources available - lots of content - this one is in the process of moving to groups Hacks and Mods: There's more - tons more. What types of content were you looking for? There were tons and tons of mods and cc made for The Sims 1, probably a lot more than Sims 3 just because it's been around so long. I still have a few Sims 1 sites bookmarked which are still active, hope they'll be some help: Around the Sims Simlogical Sim Wardrobe (but note that unfortunately all of the Sims 1 object links seem to be dead - the other Sims 1 stuff seems intact) Sim Freaks Magic Sims Secret Society of Woobsha Hopefully there will be more posters along with more links, to get you sorted out with lots of good stuff.
I still dip into Sims 1 from time to time myself - although the graphics and the camera control sort of kills it for me, it's still very playable and has so much charm and quirky humour. It would be nice to have a comprehensive list of sites still offering Sims 1 content for those who want it. Hopefully no duplicates here. gothic themed downloads - all kinds of furniture, including lots of maxis match stuff. Also some hacked objects there.
pretty self-explanatory, gardening themed objects - objects, walls, floors, houses - objects, lots and a few female skins - objects - objects - build mode stuff, I especially like the doors and windows on this site - skins, floors and walls - lots of skins, including historical, and some objects - you can preview the objects here, all the files have been moved to a group - objects, some nice walls and floors. Another post, so my other post doesn't get too long. objects - skins - objects - bit of everything - Harry Potter themed skins, objects and walls - skins and heads - floors and walls, a few objects - skins, floors and walls, some objects - lots of objects, some skins, and some pets - skins - objects, skins, lots and walls - gothic downloads - skins - skins and objects, including some themes like steampunk - medieval and gothic objects and lots, skins - 1910s-1960s themed skins, objects etc. Final Fantasy, Death Note etc Skins, roof pieces Hands, skins There's a teleporter that's a ladder in here Grungy stuff Objects, lots Lots School uniforms Loads of Japanese objects Yukatas Cat headed Sims. Yes, Persimmon Grove!
Love her stuff! And Dincer Hepguler! I wish he would have stuck around with making Sims furniture- his Sims 1 stuff is gorgeous, and I like to think that if he were still making things his Sims 2 stuff would be as beautiful as his Sims 1 things. Bunny Wuffles Architectural Supplies for Sims (is one of the neatest Sims 1 sites I've ever seen. Check out her Cultural Heritage Foundation section. She takes a subject like the Royal Botanic Gardens (but I think my favorite might be her Brunel theme) and designs beautiful lots and build items from it.
You can feel her enthusiasm jump off the page! I wish she were still making stuff for Sims 1 and Sims 2. Edit: make sure your virus software is active before checking out C&C Enterprises (because AVG detected a couple things on the main page. But this is IMO probably the best site- other than Woobsha- for Sims 1 hacks and hacked objects.
Their gardening system is so much more fun than Maxis's, and it also gives you the ability to grow and sell flowers! They also have fridges with a lot of well-made meal options. IMO a must-have is their No More Jealousy patch. It tones the creepy possesiveness way down- without it, sims would get jealous if their crush or love even paid a compliment to another sim! edit #2: Simslice (has some free content (I thought I remembered him changing it to all free. He really should, though:p) and some of it is good (other stuff is pretty stupid).
But what you really want is the patches, and it looks like those are all free. He has buy/build enablers, more filling vendor food, skill building on non-home lots, and more. Edit #3: CTO Sims (has tons of Sims 1 content, and lots of stuff from sites that aren't there anymore. IIRC they also have a section in the forums where you can get pay stuff for free. Unfortunately you have to register to view or download anything, but it's free and so worth it!

Ooo, thank you, I was hunting through my downloads folders trying to find these houses, and for the life of me couldn't remember the name of the site.
A link, to keep this on topic =) Jerome's mesh site, 3D design for the sims (is still up. Loads of skinners used his meshes, so if you're looking for any of them, they're here. Wow, just wow. Thanks so much for these links guys! I never imagined there would be so many, or so many people would be interested! My pc was totally reset and The Sims 3 works again but I'm going to lay off of Skyrim and definitely play TS1 now!:D If anyone has any more links keep them coming, it would be awesome to have a thread with a big, if not complete, list of TS1 CC sites for all those who are still interested in TS1 - as some wise soul above me said;D (if it does come to that I could rename the thread to suit it unless a mod somewhere picks up on it.hinthint.;) ) I still have more links but wasn't sure if there was something you were looking for specifically. Everything, just everything;) Looks like you helpful folks are still fulfilling that!
Man I cannot wait to play TS1 soon:giggler: Thank you you incredibly helpful MTS people:D:lol. I have not been downloading skins, heads, clothes, or Mods. However I got a Bunch of nice furniture sets off of TSR: I saw the page with blank pics/thimbnails, but found if you click around a bit, perhaps try a different search word or words, there was all these furniture sets, and they're very nice in game. Have also recently downloaded from simfreaks, parsimonious ( alot of their stuff is a bit too ostentatious for my taste! BUT some of it is really cool!), and aroundthesims. Edit: Oh and HERE is something everyone should have. Remember 'The Sims File Cop'?!
I can't believe I found this but I love it and it works: Phoeberg, you have some amazing lists! That is the first working link to 7DS I've found, and it's still there, with free downloads, totally amazing! I Love woodforsims, have never seen that before. Does anyone know where I might find Living It Up's hacked litter box? I remember it took care of the hidden junk left behind by visiting strays and from playing fetch with dogs. When the site closed, I believe some folks put the stuff into yahoo groups. An internet search isn't pulling up anything useful so far.
I toyed with the idea of starting a WCIF thread, but this is a WCIF thread, so.Edit. Now I'm not sure if this was Living It Up's or C & C's. I found a litter box at C& C. I'm giving that one a try for now.Update: Living it up is definitely the source for the litter box that I was seeking.
Not sure if the one from C&C does all that the LIU box did.' Since I said I'd repost this link: Where to find C & C Content: http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/savingthesims12/. I think I might have the one you're looking for. It says this in the read-me: This self-cleaning litterbox cleans up after dogs in an unusual way. After six days in a house, I discovered that there were five hundred instances of the PetSocialDog object. These invisible objects are created whenever dogs interact with people or with other pets. MM allows many objects on a lot, but these extra objects do take up some memory and do slow down the process of entering a house; and after a while, they should cause the house to crash.
Liugnolitterbox deletes them all one a day. Doing so may abort a current interaction with no harm done. In addition to this special function, liugnolitterbox is an improved version of the litterbox, and is self-cleaning. Oddly enough, cats clean up after themselves and do not leave PetSocialCat objects lying around. Yes, that's the one. I found it on my other computer and moved it.
I had hoped to download it since that seems easier than moving files around between computers. I wish there was a link to leave for others since it's a worthwhile hack to have to keep the game running better. Have you seen a hacked dresser that allows your Sims to get buyables for free and from the convenience of their homes? Madoria's also has the hacked C&C fridge: C&C did that very neat, 1-tile, pile of folded clothing that functioned as a wardrobe and could be placed on most surfaces. They made a version that included buyable clothing too.
There were 3 different looks for it. 1 a neutral colored folded clothing pile, 1 a colored folded clothing pile, and 1 was a bundle of messy laundry. They all function the same and the buyable clothes are free. I did have a clothing rail and a couple of wardrobes that allowed buyable clothing but I can't remember off hand who made them. I loved the neatness of the C&C ones and used those more often than not.
C&C's read-me's all state that stuff can be posted anywhere, so if you can't find it with the links you have for the C&C items, I'll post it here, just let me know if you want it uploaded:) Unless you were thinking of a specific dresser? I'm sure there was a computer that allowed buyable clothing at home too, but I might be thinking of TS2.
'Another f.ing sim site' had the 'downtown wardrobe at home' mod. Thanks for all the tips! I thought I saw those pile of clothes at the C& C yahoo groups site, but didn't realize they included buyables.
I'll check that out as well as the site you mentioned at the end. I don't think anyone has added this site yet. It has great add-on programs that fix and improve the game such as a fix for the frozen in-the-traffic bartender Waylon who stops traffic in Studio Town: You can download without logging in. Yes, that's the one. I found it on my other computer and moved it. I had hoped to download it since that seems easier than moving files around between computers.
I wish there was a link to leave for others since it's a worthwhile hack to have to keep the game running better. Actually, the site it's on was posted earlier. Funny thing is, you posted it.:P Liugno is in the name of many of Gnohmon's downloads. I recognize it because I've been downloading quite a few of Gnohmon's stuff.
And this site (has some magic related stuff, as well as a vampire mod. All I have other than stuff that's already been listed. Now I need to go CC shopping.
Well, shortly anyways. Not exactly, although a love relationship is easier to achieve if you start with a friendship, in fact, it's ridiculously easy in The Sims. Become friends and start flirting or take the friend out to dinner and/or drinks and you have a new love interest. Friendship is easier when interests are similar. There are many hacked objects to influence interests if you don't want to take the time to read the magazines from Downtown.
One is the 'free the magic' object found here (. The game itself provides ways to cheat your way to love by use of the magic genie lamp or the concoction station. I once had a scientist who never got to know any of his neighbors, but who managed all of his promotions because he collected so many love interests through the love potion that he created at the concoction station. There are also magic spells available to witches and warlocks that augment friendship and make Sims fall in love. For instant romance there's this, the mail order spouse (, which is a real hoot because it delivers a spouse in a box.
It's halfway down the page. Hi VerDeTerre! Thank u for posting and for your explanation.
I know how relationships work in TS1, but this time I'm definely unable to make Michael Bachelor falling in love o.o the concoction station never gives me the red potion (only one time, but it broke down just before drink the potion) and the genie always burn o flood the house.-' it's so annoying. Anyway, I already have the 'Free the magic' but I don't have known that interests influenced sims relations:) And thank u for 'the mail order spose', that page contains many useful objects! Thank u again:). Michael Bachelor is a bit weird and it is hard to make him fall in love. Changing his interests should help, but I feel his astrological sign is also part of the problem. You might want to 'design' a Sim mate for him in your neighborhood.
The concoction station does break regularly. I've always just purchased new ones or had my Sim fix it and keep playing until I get the potion I want. The way to play the Genie is to either install fire alarms everywhere or simply to exit the game without saving if the result was negative. Good luck with Michael! I admit that I often replace him altogether. I'm having issues. I'm trying to find a specific teleporter item where I can teleport people by FAMILY rather than just random people.
It even have a 'more' option and will cycle thru all de' families currently alive. Does anybody know where this teleporter is? The bush one on this page: lso, I'm quite in the medieval stuff and wondering if they are any actual full-plated knights skins and even swords with sword fighting stuff as well?
Can't remember. Yep - weapons here: Swordplay here (based on VR glasses): and here (based on Superstar animations): http://www.woobsha.com/theme-pirate-shipobj03.html.

VerDeTerre, I tried to log on to SimFreaks yesterday and it is now gone. I had forgotten to get Sim goddesses/Bylines, Moon Struck bedroom wardrobe and went to go get it. I am so sorry they shut down.
Not sorry for me but for them. My sister and I started playing TheSims when It came out.
We were not kids, she was about 38 years young and I was about 48 and lived hundreds of miles apart. Between the phone and e-mail it kept us connected in a fun way. SimFreaks had so many beautiful things. Maybe I'll go over to CTO sims and see if I can find what I want.

What a great way to stay connected. Yes, it is sad about SimFreaks. I hadn't been by lately and am not sure that I got everything I wanted yet. CTO is a great site - they have so much! I hope you can find what you're looking for. Not sure of these have been mentioned yet? There are things available for request at N99 many of these sites are not available at CTO Sims Also this site has lovely modern stuff If you like Shabby Chic https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/shabbysim3/info.
For some reason, the game on my netbook corrupted, and I have to re-install. And my downloads disappeared as well.
Yeah, I know. I should have known from Sims 2. Back up your downloads. Lesson learned.
I might be able to piece together enough of the downloads to get my folder back again. But which site had the dollhouse that upped the Sim motives? It was red and white, and I found it indispensable.
In the meantime, I THINK I downloaded it on a back-up drive somewhere way back. I'll be poring through my old Sims stuff of any sort, trying to find this thing. Subscribed to this thread, BTW. Sadly, several links are now dead.
But many of them are not, and I do believe that I should piece together a disk or two of downloads, ready to use if the game corrupts again. I'm still not sure why it did that in the first place!
The good news is that Sims 1 is relatively easy to re-install. I've had to do it once already for an entirely different reason. Thanks for any help on that dollhouse that you can offer.
Is there any way to get Maru (head meshes(Note: the link is broken)? I downloaded some of them long ago, and the site is now gone. Marco's Refined Creations (has skins for some of those head meshes, but without meshes, how can I use them? Wayback machine does not retrieve those files, sadly. I can't see the heads, so I don't know which ones they are. Sometimes you can find the meshes at other sites with heads, if you recognize the shape or if you know the number. Sometimes, if the shape is close enough, you can change the number of the file that looks like a stretched head so that it will wrap itself onto the mesh.
Here are some places to start when looking for head meshes: Sim Freaks:Living in Sim: Doll Face: There's another, but I can't place my finger on it right now. If I do later, I'll link it. In general, a lot of things from previously active sites can be found at CTO Sims: http://www.ctosims.com/the-files.html. I can't see the heads, so I don't know which ones they are. You can see shape of some heads from MRC skin page. They are overall, somewhat rounder(than standard Maxis head XD) and anime-ish, but not much(but I think they're same face with different hair styles.). I had used some of SimFreaks heads(but what happened to body meshes?), but not checked other sites you linked.I wonder if CTOSims has contents from some Japanese sites which are gone. Maru's heads are mapped in non-standard(i.e. Non-Maxis) way.

I think I remember them.I may have downloaded some and discarded them at some point because they didn't fit with the rest of my skins. I didn't see the page, sorry. I get nervous about poking around abandoned sites because hackers like them. Anyway, CTO has a lot of stuff and it's worth looking into what they've collected. There's also this site which links to active sites still around: Neither Living in Sim, which has standard Maxis heads, nor Dolls Face is likely to have what you're looking for.
The other thing I was thinking of was BNJ, but when I checked out that site, there weren't many faces and they didn't seem to match what I remembered from Maru. Doll Face head skins are mostly custom textures for Simfreaks 'real head' meshes. BNJ is gone as well, but fortunately Simechoes and Yahoo group 'Saving the Sims' have archive of that. BNJ heads are mapped on mostly Maxis had or some other custom heads, including Simfreaks heads. I think I have to make account for CTO.28th Aug edit: I made account for CTO Sims, and found what I was looking for. A member of CTO uploaded Maru's files (Thread: (Login required).
There's this one Finnish The Sims 1 story still in LiveJournal called 'Saippuakuplia ja Salaisuuksia' ('Soap Bubbles and Secrets' if freely translated), it was quite famous back in the day. It has a lot of impressive custom content and I was wondering if someone here knew where to find some of the items. Click here (for the first entry of the story and click the word 'seuraava' ('next') under the banner to go further in the series.
There's custom, working cigarettes for example, rideable horses (which I found here , useable swords, scooters and lots of nice clothes but I haven't been able to find any other content besides the horse. Maybe someone else knows?:).
I don't know if this has been posted on this thread already, but I just got back from a deeply determined hunt for C&C Enterprises' gardening stuff. I ended up digging through the Wayback Machine (and I probably could have gone a bit further in the timeline, but the site is a bit wonky today). Anyhow: I found a working link to all of the wonderful gardening mods/objects. With these you can plant and sell roses and tulips, utilize advanced victory garden and vine plots that keep the pests at bay, and much, much more! You can also explore other areas of the site without being hindered by error codes. The download links are active and the pictures are showing up nicely.
Have fun.:):bunny::bunny. I don't know about any of those. There are objects that can be used to fill motives. Super sculpture to set needs - the little violet will keep needs high - Grandfather clock automatically adjusts motives - robot station - beverage carts that change mood when Sim drinks. I have a couple more links for anime and video game simmers. Huge list of anime/video game skins and objects.
It's worth taking a look around since I've had success downloading some things. These are the ones I went to and the downloads 90% work: 90s/00s anime skins, objects, and pets Video game skins, 90s/00s anime skins and objects More skins for video games, TV shows, some lots Lots of skins for TV shows, movies, games Other Lots of decorative paintings The famous heads by Maru (everyone deserves to see these great heads) Objects with different animations.
